Throughout this innovative event, which for the second consecutive year will be held in a caravan style to contain the spread of COVID-19, the public will be able to donate to more than one cause in the same place. There will be organizations that will be accepting hair donations that will help to make wigs for children with cancer (there will be stylists cutting hair, following all sanitary measures), the community will also be able to donate toys and new shoes for the little ones, as well as winter clothes and blankets, school supplies for children and even Christmas decorations that are in good condition, among other things
During the event, Santa will be visiting the facilities from 1 to 3 p.m. so that the little ones, and the not so little ones, can take souvenir photos to celebrate Christmas. In addition, EmbryHealth will be offering free CRP testing for the whole family to support of the community fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This Marathon of Giving is a very special event for all of us who participate. With more than 12 local, national, and international assistance organizations participating to receive donations from the community that, without any interest involved, comes and offers its help with heart in hand,” said Everk Sánchez, organizer of the event. “Everyone is doing their bit to make this world a better place,” continued Everk Sanchez.
“We are very happy to be able to participate again in this great event. The Marathon of Giving is this unique event that has opened the doors for us to share the goodness of our community with less fortunate people such as children to whom we will be sending backpacks with school supplies that we will be collecting at the event“, said Laura Vedoy, from Mundo de Caramelo.
