Cornelio Vega y Su Dinastía formed when acclaimed singer Cornelio Vega, Sr., proposed that he and his son join forces and unite the family’s musical talents.
The group was not the pair’s first musical collaboration—at age six, Vega, Jr., wandered on stage during his father’s live TV performance and insisted on joining his dad for a duet.

Their 2014 video for “Adicto a Ti” (“Addicted to You”), composed by Vega, Jr., racked up millions of views and inspired fans to call themselves “addicts” of the band.
In 2016, the younger Cornelio participated in the talent-competition show Tengo Talento Mucho Talento with his brother, Valentín Vega, which led to their first record contract.
The group won the Bandamax television network’s award for Most Popular Artist on Social Media in 2017.
