Imagine 3D Mini Golf Is Fun ‘Fore’ Everyone

Imagine 3D Mini Golf is a business success story that is equal parts spontaneity, artistic inspiration, and dedication to family. The Latino-owned business has thrived and grown defying the odds of the pandemic economy.

“It was a spontaneous decision my husband and I decided on to start this business,” says Ruby Jeffreys. She and her husband Che Jeffreys had recently visited another indoor blacklight mini-golf business and were intrigued by the business. They began to do some research about what it would take to open their own business.

“To be more unique and a little different, we felt it was a great concept to combine all hand-painted art murals using 3D glasses while playing indoor, blacklight mini-golf,” says Ruby.

“Our son Dane inspired us to name the business Imagine, with both a dragon and unicorn as our logo, and to base all the multiple themes and hand-painted artwork off a child’s imagination.”

Once they committed to opening Imagine 3D Mini Golf, the entire process from signing the lease to opening the doors for business only took six months. “The Town of Gilbert was easy to work with and we’re extremely happy and fortunate to have a location here in Gilbert off Cooper and Warner,” says Che.

She continues, “From our ribbon-cutting ceremony to surviving a pandemic in 2020 as a small, family business, the community has been nothing short of spectacular in supporting us. We are extremely grateful for all our wonderful customers and all who share us on their social media!”

3D Mini Golf first location in Gilbert

The first location in Gilbert had such a positive reception, that Jeffreys decided to expand and open a location in Scottsdale. It was delayed in opening due to the statewide shut down at the beginning of 2020, but things took a turn for the positive. “A huge part of both our survival in 2020 along with the business bouncing back in 2021 has been strongly attributed to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community,” Ruby explains. “Our location is in the heart of the Talking Stick Entertainment District.

Occupying a location within this district along with all the other wonderful attractions, restaurants, hotels, and businesses surrounding us, our Scottsdale location is well on its way and we’re very blessed to have a location there.”

“The Latino community has been amazingly supportive along with all the other wonderful communities,” says Che. “Arizona is also a great state to vacation in, too, so we’re also seeing and hosting friendly guests and customers from all over the country.”

The Gilbert and Scottsdale locations each have unique art painstakingly created by hand that is otherworldly and can be fully appreciated at every hole of golf. “From all the hand-painted art murals seen with 3D glasses to the degree of both easy and challenging holes on the course, along with a hidden name game/scavenger hunt, we hope all our guests can experience both locations,” says Ruby.

“We always enjoy speaking with customers after their round to see what they thought and which parts they enjoyed the most. We’re always waiting with excitement and a warm welcome when customers walk in to see if they’ve been in before and have tried out each location. If we’re fortunate enough to open a third location, you can bet it’ll be completely different than the first two.”

“Expansion should always be on the table as a business owner and if numerous factors and variables can be met and budgeted for, we can hopefully forecast and project another location opening down the road,” finishes Ruby. For more information, visit https://imagine3dminigolf.com/about-us.
