Tempe Ranked #4 Top City for Freelancers in 2019

A recently released study by Neighborhoods.com examined the top American cities for freelancers in 2019 and ranked Tempe, Arizona #4. To determine the rankings, they analyzed U.S. Census Bureau data from more than 150 cities and compared those cities across five metrics: 

1. Median rent ($965 for Tempe)
2. Average internet speed (39.76mbps for Tempe)
3. Number of coffee shops per capita (15.7 per 100,000 for Tempe)
4. Income taxes (based on the median freelancer income of $52,074, $10,089 for Tempe)
5. Ease of getting around town (based on the average of combined walkability, transit and biking scores, 57 for Tempe)
