ANA MAFUD JOINS TELEMUNDO 39 AS NEWS LEAD ANCHOR
Telemundo 39 / KTAZ, announced that Ana Mafud has been named lead anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Arizona on weekdays at 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM with Octavio Pulido. The newscast airs Monday through Friday at 11:00 AM, 4:00 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM and on weekends at 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Noticiero Telemundo Arizona is simulcast on Telemundo 40 / KHRR. Mafud’s on-air debut will be today.
“Ana is a versatile and passionate journalist with over 8 years of experience covering big-scope stories on the anchor’s desk and the field,” said Noe Gonzalez, Vice President of News for Telemundo Arizona. “We are thrilled to have Ana join our news team to help us continue our commitment to delivering the local news and information that our viewers expect from us,” added Gonzalez.
Mafud joins KTAZ after working as a news anchor at Televisa-Univision Monterrey in Mexico from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, she worked as multimedia journalist at Televisa del Golfo in Tamaulipas, Mexico from 2014 to 2017. Mafud, also worked as on-air talent for Formula 103.9FM from 2015 to 2017.
Born and raised in Mexico, Mafud earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, Mexico.
