Andrés Cepeda Signs with Warner Music México

Andrés Cepeda began his career with “Poligamia,” a rock band that he founded during his schooldays and that later became one of the most prominent groups of this genre in its country, Colombia. He subsequently launched his solo career in 1999 and since then he has released 11 studio albums and 7 live albums.

On this journey the Bogotan producer, songwriter and vocalist passed through FM Discos (1999-2013) and Sony Music (2013-2023), making a significant musical history full of recognitions: 15 Latin Grammy nominations and 3 Gramophones, 30 Gold and Platinum records, and 27 singles that hit number 1 on airplay. He has also participated as a coach on 11 seasons of La Voz Colombia.

For the end of 2023, Andrés Cepeda announces a strategic alliance in his musical career that signifies new challenges for him. It’s the signing with the multi-national record company Warner Music México, with whom he aims to continue developing his musical project in the coming years. This deal took place in Mexico City at the hand of the managing director for Latin America, Tomás Rodríguez.

“I’m very excited to begin this new stage in my career with the support of this excellent team at WMM and WMC, who today accompany me to continue achieving new goals and realize great musical projects, in order to share with my fans and with new audiences the love that I feel for this art that I have been very passionate about since I stepped on a stage for the first time,” Cepeda comments.

On this matter, Tomás Rodríguez, Managing Director of Warner Music México and Central America, affirms: “We’re thrilled with the arrival of an artist as iconic as Andrés to the Warner Music family. We are proud that he and his team have trusted his to bring all of his hits and his new music to Latin America and the world.”

Andrés Cepeda fulfilled a busy schedule in the past year, during which he performed more than 100 public concerts in different parts of the world with: La Ruta Púrpura, Me Importas Tour, his Sinfónico format and his Big Band.

On his social media accounts, he recently announced 15 dates in the United States that will kick off his new world tour “Tengo Ganas Tour,” which will begin in April 2024, and in this way, he starts this era alongside his record label, Warner Music México and Andes, on the right foot.
