Las baleadas de Honduras
Los Latinos tenemos mucho orgullo de nuestras raíces. We embrace our diversity and love to share our culture, especially our cuisines. Visiting the family owned Taste of Honduras, comida Hondureña autentica de Cartacho, is a great representation of that in Phoenix. Honduran food has a cross of sweet rich savory flavors, which you will find at Taste of Honduras.
Their menu has a variety of choices for everyone. Including sopa de caracol, which was made famous by the song with the same title, que también se baila estilo punta, estilo originario de Honduras.
A big part of Honduran gastronomy is baleadas, traditionally made with flour tortillas, refried red beans and honduran white cheese. baleadas can also be served with other fillings, similar to tacos and can also be eaten any time of the day; breakfast, lunch or dinner. Simple, yet a gastro-wonder. Delicious!
Plátano relleno de carne is another Honduran comfort food, is a plátano base with ground beef, white cheese topped with pickled red onions.
Honduran cuisine also offers, tamales catrachos, empanadas, frijoles, desayunos tradicionales, arroz con leche, flan.
All these great tasting food can also be paired with Tropical banana soda, una coca, o un cafecito.
Taste of Honduras restaurant in Phoenix really offers fresh flavorsome authentic Honduran cuisine. They are very welcoming and provide great service.
