One of the Valley’s best bars is scheduled to reopen after 18 months of shutting down.
Frequently listed as one of Phoenix’s best bars, Valley Bar will be reopening its underground venue on August 18th after closing in March of 2020 due to the pandemic. Its owner Charlie Levy stated to a local paper that the bar will be operating at full capacity when they reopen but they will continue to monitor Covid cases closely for safety.
Located in the heart of Phoenix, the 275 guest capacity bar and music venue will be having a free show featuring funk artist Dâm-Funk to welcome back guests. Besides the music hall, Valley Bar offers a game area with two Skeeball machines, a darts area, and vintage arcade and board games you can play for free. The bar menu contains hand-crafted cocktails named after political figures from Arizona, local beers, and wine. The bar also has a lounge called the Rose Room, named after Arizona’s first female governor Rose Mofford.
One of the events Valley Bar patrons should mark on their calendars is the return of Naranja nights on August 28th. Naranja is a Latin dance night where the music hall transforms into a dark and thumping dance floor. DJ M’Rocka sets the vibe and the tunes while he plays the hottest hits in Reggaeton, Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue, and Latin Trap music.
