Following public health guidance can help stop the spread of COVID-19, which is why I’m answering the World Health Organization’s call to join the #SafeHands Challenge.
It also gives me a chance to share three things that are on my mind as we all go through this difficult time.
- We need to listen to science and public health experts. Social distancing and washing our hands are our best tools right now to prevent the spread of the virus and ease the strain on our health system.
- So many people are suffering because of this pandemic, so let’s support each other and support the most vulnerable in our communities.
- Have compassion for yourself and others. Find ways to take care of yourself, and be sure to check in on your friends and family.
Our community was made for more. More kindness. More support. More hope. As we’re all finding ways to cope with this pandemic, be sure to stay active. Stay healthy. Stay connected. Together we can overcome anything. That’s what a community does. It’s why we’re all made for more.
